Do you love to peruse a bookstore and maybe grab a coffee/snack/meal afterwards?
Are you someone who enjoys seeking out the big and small, new and old bookstores in our Greater Tampa Bay area? Great!
This group will meet mostly on weekdays during the day, but I will plan some weekend and evening events too.
The food/snack/tea/coffee/cocktail part will be pretty casual. Sometimes a reservation. Sometimes not.
This will be a small group of 6-8 per outing. It's not fair to small booksellers to have a huge group descend and I am not interested in organizing a big group.
I have been a Meetup organizer before and learned it's best to mention a few things
(If you don't like monologues, turn away now).
-It's a volunteer position for the organizer. No dues will be charged but it costs to have the group on Meetup. We're all doing it for the love of the game, kids.
-You will be in charge of your own parking, getting to and from a location, your own safety and your own experience. Some people are looking for a free social director and person to take them by the hand. Ditto.
We will be a photo free zone, so members need not think about their "angles" and just enjoy our time.
As with most groups, no religion, politics, shaming of any sort, stalking etc..Members can be married, single, male, female and everything in between. This is not a dating group.
You love books so, you're swell already.
NO BUSINESS PROMOTING. This is not a networking group. We are going to enjoy our outings without people giving out business cards etc…thank you!
