In the Distance by Hernán Diaz - Meeting #1 (Fat Rabbit)

Second to last book of 2025. And then we get to the Holiday Party! I'll have a save the date for that event released in the next week or so. For new members, this party is open to all and has always been a great night. The last book for 2025 is going to be A Boy and his Dog at the End of the World by C.A. Fletcher. This is my pick of the year. :-)

Up next is In the Distance from 2017 by Hernán Diaz. The story recounts the life of Håkan, a Swedish emigrant who is separated from his brother on their journey to the United States in the mid-19th century. Penniless, Håkan travels across the American West, sometimes in very harsh conditions, with the goal of finding his brother in New York City. Only 240 pages.
