What we’re about
Books and Booze in the Desert is a group for women who love to read, share thoughts about books and have a cocktail or two in the company of a few new friends.
I (Leslie Smith) took over as Organizer of this group a little over two years ago.
I think we have created something pretty special over these two plus years. We now have a core group of "regulars" who show up pretty much every month for our meetings; they are the heart and soul of "Books and Booze". They are warm, funny, smart, and friendly. Together, we provide a truly warm and welcoming environment in which women can feel comfortable sharing their thoughts with each other and are encouraged to do so.
As Organizer, I welcome comments, suggestions, thoughts, etc. from members at any time. You can always reach me via the website although I typically share my email address and phone number at meetings as well.
