May Book Club Meeting

Hi Everyone,
I know that I’m later than usual, but I’m finally posting our book club meetings for May. Our first Bookclub meeting for May will be held on Sunday, May 5th at 11am at The Robin’s Nest restaurant in Mount Holly. Please note that we will be seated outdoors, so bring a sweater if you tend to run cold. If it rains, we will plan a rain date because they are doing away with the tent that we sat under last year. If you like antiques, plan to do some shopping afterwards in the shops surrounding the restaurant in this very quaint village. We will be reading
You Were Always Mine: A Novel, by Christine Pride and Jo Piazzo. Several of us met Ms. Piazzo at the Collingswood Book Festival and were delighted by her bubbly personality and amazing storytelling. She is a native of Philadelphia which also helped us to forge a connection with her. Ms. Pride who resides in New York City, and who co-wrote this and other books with Jo Piazzo, was unable to attend the book festival, but the two have been very successful in writing crime dramas. As always, there is a limit of 14 persons, but there will be a waitlist. Do not sign up for more than one meeting per month please. We want to allow as many people as possible to attend. If you are on the waitlist, please pay attention to your email. You may very well gain a spot, and we will then be expecting you to attend. No-shows will be placed on waitlists for all future meetings. I understand that things come up at the last minute, but if you can no longer attend, please remove your name from the “attending”, and/or “waitlist”. It’s not fair to those people who sincerely wish to attend and are on the waitlist, and it’s not fair to those of us making the reservation and expecting a certain number of people to show up. Please also plan to pay with CASH. I know it’s a hassle for some of us, but many restaurants will only issue one check for the entire party. I want to give a shout out to all of the new members! I haven’t met you all, but I have had the pleasure of meeting many of you and I have enjoyed you all. I look forward to seeing all of you soon; both old new members.
