This group is for readers and film lovers in the Henderson/Las Vegas area who want to discuss movies, books, and everything in between in a relaxed & welcoming space.
We meet regularly at The Coffee Press, a cozy coffee shop at the Paseo Verde Library in Henderson, at Green Valley Ranch.

Each meetup gives you an opportunity to slow down, get inspired, and enjoy meaningful conversation with others who appreciate the details, emotions, and ideas behind great storytelling, whether they're from a novel, a screenplay, a cult classic or the latest blockbuster.
Enjoy thought-provoking conversations, about books and films, in a relaxed & welcoming space. Whether you're here to make new friends, rediscover your love of storytelling, or just unwind with great coffee and conversation, this group will become your new favorite weekly ritual.

How It Works
- Everyone is welcome, whether you're a regular reader or prefer watching the film adaptations.
- Got a film or book suggestion? Great! We'll rotate themes to keep things fresh and inclusive.
- Please try to read the book or watch the film beforehand so we can dive into meaningful discussion. (Spoilers are fair game!)
- Feel free to bring articles, reviews, or share online content you found thought-provoking, as discussion is encouraged!
- We'll aim to cover major cinema blockbusters, as well as indie films and book adaptations.
- We will aim to watch films that are available on major streaming platforms or are new at the cinema - and books that are readily available at the library or to buy in bookstores/online.
- Interested in hosting a meetup? Message the organizers, as we love rotating voices.

Let's discuss the journey from Christopher Reeve's Superman, via Brandon Routh to Henry Cavill. Also let's not forget Smallville the TV show or Superman Lives with Nicolas Cage, the film that never was but could have been.
We'll probably end up also discussing Batman - and then other D.C. superheroes - which will lead us to Marvel and whatever related topics come up...Whether you’re a lifelong fan or just flying into Metropolis for the first time, this meetup is for you. Bring your passion for comic book (graphic novel) heroes and watching them on the big screen.
