The Puttery of Pittsburgh sent me a lovely message and asked if they could host our book club! As a special incentive they have thrown in a free round of golf for us after our bookclub discussion is done at 1:30. The book club will be taking on the library course 📚 😊
I would ask that we are respectful of their lovely
gesture and not bring in any food or drinks from other vendors for this event.
Now let's learn about the book.
Eileen Garvin's bestselling debut novel, The Music of Bees, follows three lonely strangers who find friendship and healing on an Oregon honeybee farm. The characters include Alice, a 44-year-old widowed beekeeper struggling with grief and a dead-end job; Jake, a troubled paraplegic teenager; and Harry, a 24-year-old with social anxiety. The unlikely trio unite to protect the local honeybee population from a pesticide company threatening the community and the bees.
