Hi Bee Members! This month we'll be reading "Let My People Go Surfing: The Education of a Reluctant Businessman" by Yvon Chouinard. This is actually the book I choose to do my book report assignment for my MBA Leadership Training class. And I figured this could be a fun 2-for-1 type of event because we can look into the mindset of a culture-defining businessman that sculpted Patagonia to what it is today while keep true to their values to care for the Earth and to take care of it's people.

You're welcome to attend even if you haven't quite finished the book, as long as you don't mind spoilers being discussed. Attendees should generally expect to order something to eat or drink.

Here's a description of the book:

Yvon Chouinard-legendary climber, businessman, environmentalist, and founder of Patagonia, Inc.-shares the persistence and courage that have gone into being head of one of the most respected and environmentally responsible companies on earth.

From his youth as the son of a French Canadian blacksmith to the thrilling, ambitious climbing expeditions that inspired his innovative designs for the sport's equipment, Let My People Go Surfing is the story of a man who brought doing good and having grand adventures into the heart of his business life-a book that will deeply affect entrepreneurs and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

Rated: 4.18 on Goodreads
