Baby boomers were born between 1944 and 1964. Boomer Girls is for those of us who are looking for friends who can relate to the phase in our life somewhere between remembering Marcia Brady and how big we could get our hair in the 80s without the high school gossiping.
We collect $5 per calendar year for dues. These dues support our Meetup costs and activities. We have a trial period of 30 days after signup for you to determine if we are a fit for you. If dues are not collected, you may receive a message reminder or be removed from the group. That does not mean you cannot rejoin and pay dues at any time.
Ladies, we have a policy regarding late cancellations and “no showing” when it comes to RSVPing for events that have a waitlist. Canceling same day or day before, or “no showing” is not fair to members who want to attend events, and are on the waitlist. It’s also not fair to people who work in venues and lose time and income when this happens.
So from now on canceling the DAY OF AN EVENT OR DAY BEFORE, or “no showing” for an event is going to result in those folks being unwelcome from attending an event for a month. A second offense will result in removal from the group. Obviously, emergencies are going to happen and exceptions will be made. Contact the organizer. I want to be fair to everyone. So in the future? Please be sure you can actually ATTEND an event that has a waitlist. Thanks for being, kind, considerate, and thoughtful of everyone else. Ladies that cannot at minimum be kind will be removed from the group.
