What we’re about

Boots On Adventures

Welcome to our friendly outdoor group of outdoors lovers where we aim to provide more smiles per mile than any other outdoor group!

We look forward to welcoming you!

Our activities include weekday and weekend walks, night hikes, foraging events, campfires, weekends away (both local and through out England), specialist trips and much more...

Our ethos has always been strongly embedded in building community with the aim to be the most friendliest group in Kent (and I am proud to say that I believe we exceed that thanks to our members).

Dogs are welcome on all walking events unless otherwise stated (please check with us on other events) as long as they are friendly, well behaved and will go on a lead if required such as entering fields of livestock.

The group is run by Ian Henderson (Lowland Leader) and his partner Erika Patt.

We are fully insured and first aid trained to give you complete peace of mind. The team extends to Sara Hibbins (Lowland Leader) and Peter White (Hill and Moorland) who joins us for the weekend expeditions.

Please feel to check out "Boots On Adventures" on Facebook or our website www.bootsonadventures.co.uk .

This walk is part of the Cross Channel Geopark Festival, a week-long celebration of the geological and cultural links between Kent and Northern France. The festival shines a spotlight on the unique chalk landscapes, from the White Cliffs of Dover to the French coast, and highlights how geology has shaped local heritage, communities, and biodiversity.
The walk itself offers the chance to experience these landscapes first-hand: from rolling chalk downland and sweeping coastal views to the layered history of Dover’s defences. You’ll journey through sites that reveal both the natural story of the land and the human story of how Dover has stood as a gateway between England and continental Europe for centuries.
By combining exploration of the great outdoors with free entry to Dover Castle, the event brings together nature, history, and culture in one unforgettable day.
