Join us for a sociable weekend in The Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), staying in a beautiful 🏡 bunkhouse right in the heart of the National Park and hiking the iconic ⛰️ Pen-Y-Fan horseshoe.
Over the weekend, we’ll summit the scenic peaks of Corn Du, Pen-Y-Fan, and Cribin 🏔️, with spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. On Sunday, we’ll explore a magical 💧 waterfall trail, weaving through ancient woodland and peaceful valleys.

Friday 24th April – Arrival & Social Evening
From 5pm, arrive and settle into the scenic bunkhouse 🛖. Relax or explore before we gather at 8pm for a group evening meal 🍽️, a weekend briefing, and a friendly social.
Saturday 25th April – Pen-Y-Fan Circular Hike (~9.5 miles)
After breakfast ☕, we’ll head out to tackle the breathtaking Pen-Y-Fan horseshoe. We’ll summit Corn Du, Pen-Y-Fan, and Cribin, walking mountain footpaths with panoramic views 🎒. After the walk, enjoy a well-earned dinner 🍛 and relaxed evening with the group.
Sunday 26th April – 4 Waterfalls Trail (~9.5 miles)
Start the day with breakfast 🍳, then take a short drive 🚙 to the start of the 4 Waterfalls Walk. This guided hike explores stunning falls through serene woodland 🌳 and finishes around 1pm.
Distances are approximate. In case of bad weather, an alternative walk will be arranged ☔.
Accommodation
You’ll be staying in a spacious and cosy bunkhouse, located near the Pen-Y-Fan trailhead. Rooms are single-sex dormitories 🛏️, with warm social and dining areas inside and outside 🪵.

What We Provide
We’ve got the logistics covered — experienced leaders 🥾, two nights of bunkhouse accommodation 🏠, and all meals 🍴 from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch.
What’s Not Included
You’ll need to organise travel to and from the bunkhouse, your own travel insurance 🛡️, and bring a sleeping bag & pillow. You’ll also need to cover Sunday parking and transport to the waterfall trailhead 🚘.

Join us on Wednesday 29th April for a guided coastal walk exploring the dramatic landscapes and historic defences that surround Dover. Starting from Dover Station, this weekday route quickly climbs away from the busy harbour area and onto higher ground, offering impressive views across the coastline and the English Channel.
Our walk takes us up onto Coney Hill and past the historic terraces of Parsonage Villas before descending along Plough Hill to join a remarkable stretch of path shared by three national trails: the King Charles III Coast Path, the North Downs Way, and the Saxon Shore Way. From here the route opens out across the famous White Cliffs coastline.
Along the way we pass above Samphire Hoe with wide views along the shore towards Shakespeare Cliff, while the landscape around us reveals traces of the area’s long defensive history, including World War battlements and the impressive Napoleonic-era fortifications of the Western Heights. From here the route gradually descends back into Dover, returning to the station after a memorable coastal walk.

Springtime orchards and village greens

Join us on Saturday 2nd May 2026 for a guided countryside walk exploring the rolling farmland and historic villages that sit just beyond Faversham. Starting from Faversham Train Station car park, we soon leave the town behind as we head out past the well-known Macknade Farm Shop and into a patchwork of fields and traditional Kent orchards, which are particularly beautiful at this time of year.
Early May brings fresh greenery across the landscape, with hedgerows coming to life and orchards bursting into colour. The route passes through Boughton Court Farm before continuing through the peaceful grounds of St Peter and St Paul Church in Boughton, a quiet rural setting that reflects the long agricultural history of the village.
We continue across the golf course and into the village of Boughton before following orchard paths that skirt the elegant grounds of Mount Ephraim Gardens. The walk then leads into Herne Hill, where a magnificent old oak tree stands proudly in the village square. Passing through Wey Street Farm and Langdon Court, we eventually arrive in Goodnestone, an area long associated with Kent’s hop-growing heritage, before making our way back across the countryside to Faversham Train Station.

Early May is one of the finest times to explore the countryside around Faversham, and this ten-mile circular walk offers a wonderful opportunity to experience it at its most vibrant. Led by the experienced Boots on Adventures team, the route combines orchards, farmland, historic villages, and quiet country lanes, creating a rewarding day out through the heart of north Kent.
Starting from Faversham Train Station car park, the walk heads towards Macknade Farm Shop, a much-loved local landmark that reflects the area’s strong connection to farming and seasonal produce. Within a short distance the surroundings open into wide countryside, where rows of blossoming orchards and bright spring fields create one of the most distinctive landscapes in Kent.
The route passes through Boughton Court Farm and continues towards the historic grounds of St Peter and St Paul Church in Boughton. Surrounded by open farmland and mature trees, the church provides a peaceful pause along the route and a glimpse into the long rural story of this part of Kent. After crossing the nearby golf course, we reach Boughton village before continuing along quiet orchard paths that pass close to the beautiful Mount Ephraim Gardens estate.
As the walk continues into Herne Hill, the village square comes into view with its striking old oak tree, a familiar local landmark and a lovely spot to appreciate the relaxed rhythm of village life. From here the path leads across the farmland of Wey Street Farm and Langdon Court, where wide views stretch across gently rolling countryside that feels especially alive during the spring months.
The final stage brings us into Goodnestone, a village long associated with Kent’s hop-growing tradition. These fields once played an important role in the region’s agricultural economy, and the surrounding countryside still carries that sense of heritage. From here the route gradually returns across open farmland towards Faversham, completing a varied and enjoyable circular walk.
With the landscape full of fresh colour, birdsong across the hedgerows, and orchards at their seasonal best, this walk captures the character of the Kent countryside in spring. Guided at a relaxed and sociable pace, it’s an ideal way to enjoy a May day outdoors while discovering the quieter paths and historic villages that surround Faversham.
