🌿 Medway Valley Walk: Wateringbury to Yalding Circular 🌿
πŸ“… 15 March 2026
Join us for a scenic riverside walk through one of Kent’s most historic and fertile landscapes.

***

### πŸ₯Ύ The Walk

On the 15 March 2026 we will be strolling from the village of Wateringbury, following the Medway Valley Walk through riverside meadows, orchards, and The Greensands Way towards Yalding, before returning via Teston Bridge Country Park.
The walk will start in Wateringbury village. From here we will join the Medway Valley Walk, following the course of the River Medway as it winds through fertile countryside shaped by centuries of farming, trade, and travel.
We will continue through open greens, quiet lanes, and riverside paths towards Yalding, a village long defined by its relationship with the river. Its historic bridges, waterways, and surrounding meadows reflect a landscape that has supported settlement and movement since medieval times.
From Yalding, the route will lead us back along the Medway, passing through Teston Bridge Country Park, where the great stone bridge and managed parkland provide a striking contrast between natural beauty and human engineering.
