A historical walk from Walmer to surrounding villages
Details
On the 12th of July we will be strolling from the seaside town of Walmer to the surrounding villages.
The walk will start at the Borrow Pit car park in Walmer. From here we will make our way: walking past the Tudor Castle and through fields to Ripple and Ringwould before we make our back to the coast and Walmer again.
Along the way we will hear tales of the death bed of Britain’s greatest general, a mighty activist supporting any cause going and an attempt to invade England from a famous Roman.
