Margate to Broadstairs: Kent's Iconic Coastal Walk

One of the very best coastal walks in Kent!

This 10-mile guided walk combines peaceful countryside with one of the country's most spectacular stretches of coastline.
Starting from Dreamland Car Park in Margate, we'll head inland through open countryside, passing fields and a traditional windmill before arriving in the charming seaside town of Broadstairs.
From there, we'll follow the magnificent coastline back towards Margate, taking in towering white chalk cliffs, sweeping sea views and some of Kent's most famous beaches, including Viking Bay, Botany Bay, Joss Bay and Palm Bay. If the tide is in our favour, we'll also enjoy walking sections along the shoreline beneath the cliffs.
The final part of the walk brings us back into Margate, passing the Winter Gardens, Harbour Arm, and the iconic Turner Contemporary.
This is a fantastic walk with plenty of variety, beautiful scenery and a relaxed social atmosphere.

Meet: 9:15am for a 9:30am prompt start
Meeting Point: Dreamland Car Park, Margate
Distance: Approx. 10 miles (16km)
Walking Time: Around 6 hours including breaks
Terrain: Moderately undulating with a mixture of countryside footpaths, coastal trails and beach walking (tide permitting).

Please bring:

• Walking boots or sturdy footwear
• Packed lunch
• Plenty of drinking water
• Waterproof clothing (just in case!)
• Any personal medication you may require
