About us

BOP Tech is an industry led group set up to support the local technology and innovation communities.

Our aim is to encourage collaboration across the wider industry and provide opportunities to connect with employers, talent, students, education providers and beyond.

There are already some awesome events happening in our region so our aim is to further support/promote these events as well as those organised by BOP Tech.

First cab off the ranks is the BOP Tech Quiz (formerly part of the BOP ICT Cluster which is no longer operating).

Women in STEM - Leadership Series Part 2, Vulnerability & Empathy

Basestation, 148 Durham St, Tauranga, NZ

    Reserve your spot HERE!

Whether you’re a current team leader, an aspiring leader, or simply curious about what makes a great leader, this series offers a space to reflect on and discuss the ideas and mahi presented in Dr Brené Brown’s research.

In Dare to Lead, Brené identifies four key pillars that define courageous leadership:

    • Rumbling with vulnerability
    • Living into our values
    • Braving trust
    • Learning to rise

We’ll explore each of these pillars in depth in this monthly series, sharing our own experiences (the good, the bad, and the messy) and discovering practical ways to build our skills, learn from setbacks, and grow as wholehearted leaders in our workplaces, communities, and whānau.

In this session, we’ll continue exploring rumbling with vulnerability and begin unpacking the role of empathy in courageous leadership.
