Fly away to Flushing for fun, feasts, and fizzy drinks 🐼🇨🇳

Ni hao! On Friday, March 27th, we're digging a hole to go to the other side of the world 🌏 or at least the other side of the 7 train to have some mei wei (delicious) food in Flushing 😊🍜

We have venues for the earlybirds, the main event, and the after party below lol.

Try to come to the restaurant (Jiang Nan in Flushing) by 6:50 as they are busy and we have a reservation for 30. Otherwise feel free to come and leave whenever. 🙂

(Each venue is a 5 to 10 minute walk to the next. It takes 40 minutes to get to Jiang Nan from Times Square, so please factor in extra time for potential train delays. We'll take the 7 train all the way to its last stop in Flushing.)

The earlybirds 🦚
From 5:30 to 6:40, we'll explore Tangram Mall, which is NYC's newest mall (it opened in the summer of 2025)

The main event 🍜
From 6:50 to 8:45, we'll have Shanghainese dinner at Jiang Nan in Flushing. Some examples are: peking duck, kung pao chicken, double cooked pork belly, cumin lamb, and lotus root

From 9 to 9:20, we'll go to Shakalaka Bakery for some delish Chinese baked goods

From 9:30 to 11, we'll decide if we want to go to a bar or do karaoke.
The venues we're considering so far are NY Beer Garden, VShow KTV, and The Attic (which is small and has great cocktails but doesn't take reservations for such a large party).

[Large party (20) reservations for NY Beer Garden requires a minimum spend of $300 (or $15 a person). Karaoke at VShow KTV requires at least two hours at $90 to $100 an hour but that is a deposit that can be used towards food and drink.]

The not so fun rule on RSVPs:
Please only RSVP if you think you can make it and adjust your RSVP asap if anything changes (as there are other people who would like your spot). Two no shows or cancellations within 6 hours results in a 4 month ban. I will send a reminder 24 hours in advance
to the group.
