Bike along Park Avenue! 🚲

On Saturday, August 1st, let’s ride bikes on Manhattan’s Park Avenue! 🚲

Event is free. You’re welcome to join and leave whenever!

Free bike rental if renting for less than an hour
Bike rental includes a bike, bike helmet, bike lock, and bike bag (for wallet, phone, etc)

Choose the option: “Manhattan: Saturday, August 1, One Hour Bike Rental”
Choose your bike size (small, medium, large, XL)
Generally: Small if 4’5” to 5’3”, Medium if 5’4” to 5’8”, Large if 5’8” to 6’, XL if 6’1” to 6’4”
Enter your info (credit card or bank info is unfortunately required too)
Rental is from 7am to 3pm, but can show up whenever to get your free hour
Please note must be 16 or older to rent a hybrid bike

We’ll rent and ride bikes from Park Ave and East 27th to Foley Square (and back!)

Can bike, walk, run, skate, or more! (of course, you’re welcome to bring your own bike, skates, running shoes, too!)

Park Ave will not have cars because of Summer Streets.

At 8:30am, let’s meet at
Unlimited Biking at East 27th Street and Park Avenue South

We’ll pick up hybrid bikes at 8:45am
We’ll ride from 8:45 to 9:35am (you’re welcome to ride for longer!)
We’ll drop off bikes at 9:35am at the same location (different drop-off location if spending more than 60 minutes on bike, see below)

If you go over the 60 minutes, there is a $12.50 fee.
It’s the same fee if you have the bike from 61 to 119 minutes (as long as it’s under 2 hours).
If over 60 minutes, drop off location is one of Unlimited Bikes store locations at Brooklyn Bridge (cannot drop off at the pick-up location if it has been over an hour)

From 9:40 to 10am, we’ll walk from Park Avenue and East 27th Street to Astor Place and Broadway. We’ll grab free snacks and beverages at Astor Place.

From 10:15 to 10:30am, we’ll grab coffee and snacks from Lazy Bulldog Coffee Shop.

From 10:30 to 11am, we’ll hang out in Cooper Triangle.

Please only RSVP if you think you can make it and adjust your RSVP asap if anything changes (as there are other people who would like your spot). Two no shows or cancellations within 6 hours results in a 4 month ban. I will send a reminder 24 hours in advance
to the group
