The Wines ---
Bordeaux, France - 2019 Château Malescot St. Exupéry ($55)
96 Points James Suckling. "Sweet currant and berry aromas with hints of blackcurrants, black cherries and flowers. It’s full-bodied and layered with beautifully polished tannins that last for minutes."
Rioja, Spain - 2015 La Rioja Alta Rioja Gran Reserva 904 ($99)
97 Points James Suckling. "A perfumed nose of plums, mulberries, mushrooms, caramel, sweet tobacco and sweet spices. Full-bodied with velvety, fine tannins and lively acidity. Balanced and supple with a creamy texture. Delicate and precise with a long, polished finish."
Tuscany, Italy - 2019 Castiglion del Bosco Brunello di Montalcino ($74)
96 Points James Suckling. "This is really fine on the palate with wonderfully integrated tannins that give tension and focus. It’s medium-bodied with lovely berry, cherry, cedar and spice. Peaches and flower stems, too. Creamy texture. Extremely long and vivid."
Oregon, USA - 2022 Kosta Browne Pinot Noir Willamette Valley ($54)
96 Points James Suckling. "Bright aromas of wild strawberries, cassia bark, citrus peel and earth. The palate is medium-bodied with finely integrated tannins and focused acidity, giving notes of blackberries, spices, dried herbs and violets. Very pure with a savory undertone."
*** Will be included only if 10 people RSVP **
California, USA - 2023 Carter Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard ($225)
96 Points James Suckling. Notes of lively blue fruits, allspice, graphite and toasty oak all leap from the glass. An opulent and full-bodied wine, it shows ideal balance on the palate - a mixture of great fruit, rounded sweet tannins and natural acidity that results in an impressively lengthy finish.
The not so fun rule on RSVPs
Please only RSVP if you think you can make it and adjust your RSVP asap if anything changes (as there are other people who would like your spot). Two no shows or cancellations within 6 hours results in a 4 month ban. I will send a reminder 24 hours in advance
to the group
Thanks and can't wait to see you!
