On Saturday, October 10th, let’s escape to the witch city Salem 🧙, on the way back on Monday, October 12th we will visit Boston. 🔮🐈⬛
Welcome to join us for the journey by bus (details below), to take the train, or to take a car to meet us there!
Can join for any part!
Key transportation details:
- On Saturday, 10/10: Meet from 1 to 1:20am at 31st Street and 8th Ave
Take Flixbus at 1:20am and arrive at Boston’s South Station by 6:05am
(Please get to bus before it departs at 1:30am)
Can instead take Flixbus at 6:30am and arrive in Boston by 10:55am
In Boston, take the Newburyport / Rockport Line (purple line) to Salem and arrive there by 7am (if earlier bus) or by noon (if later bus)
- On Monday, 10/12: Take the bus from Boston’s South Station at 4pm and arrive in NYC’s Chinatown by 9pm (145 Canal Street)

Let's discover Salem, Massachusetts.
We will take a Flixbus early morning and discover some spooky stories about witches 🔮.
Please try to find your overnight accomodations as soon as possible as they may sell out
I planned some activities, you are welcome to join some or all of them and of course you can do your own program

October 10th
- Flixbus from NYC Midtown at 1:30am ($58 currently)
- Let's meet from 1:00am to 1:20am in front of Penn Station, Moynihan hall.
- At 1:20am we will go to the bus.
- Arrive in Boston 6:05am. we will take a tramway (Newburport / Rockport Line aka the purple line) and then a train to head to Salem and arrive there around 7am.
- If you want a later alternative you can take a Flixbus at 6:30am in NYC Midtown and arrive at 10:55am at Boston South Station. You can then take the train at the North Station at 11:35am and arrive around 12pm in Salem.

Saturday, October 10th

- It's time to walk around the city and discover some streets and the bewitched statue 🧙
- We can visit the Salem witch museum (19$), visit is about 1 hour. if we want to visit it we have to book a day ticket, they become available the day before at 10pm https://salemwitchmuseum.com/emergency/
- It's time to chill in the Salem common park 🏞️
- Let's follow the footsteps of some witches on the Salem witch trail memorial, next to the Charter Street Cemetery 🪦
- It's Halloween season so let's wander around carved pumpkins and many other attractions on "hollowed harvest" Derby Street 🎃
- Let's have lunch in the Old Town Hall, that is now a food court 🍽️
Let's wander to the Witch House and other famous houses on Chestnut Street
- We will try to find a nice place to have dinner and then we'll head back to the hostel
Sunday, October 11th
- Free breakfast at the hostel
- Let's hop on the train 🚊 to go back to Salem for the day
- Let's visit another part of the city with the House of the Seven Gables 🏠
- Now let's head to the Waterfront and the Salem Maritime National Historical Park with its Light House

- For the afternoon let's enjoy the events of the Haunted Happenings Market

- We will try to find a nice place to have dinner and then we'll head back to the hostel
Monday, October 12th
- Let's hop on the train 🚊 to go to Boston
- We will take the train at 8:48am in Chelsea
(name of the stop) to arrive at 9:05am in Boston
- We will walk to the Boston Public Garden and try to find some breakfast 🥞 if you want on the way

- The tour will end up close to markets so we will eat lunch over there 🍽️
- Starting around 1:30pm (after lunch) we will explore the North end, starting by the Spite house
- At 3pm we will walk to the bus station or take a tramway through the old town
- We can find snacks on the way for the bus ride
- We will take the bus back to NYC at 4pm and arrive around 9pm at Canal Street (38$)

Please only RSVP if you think you can make it and adjust your RSVP asap if anything changes (as there are other people who would like your spot). Two no shows or cancellations within 6 hours results in a 4 month ban. I will send a reminder 24 hours in advance to the group
