What we’re about

Boston Mabl User Group (a.k.a. Boston MUG)

What we’re about
Boston MUG is a community for anyone who cares about quality engineering and test automation, from newcomers battling their first flaky locator to salty veterans who dream in regex. We meet quarterly in Downtown Crossing to swap war stories, compare tools and techniques, and get an insider peek at what’s new in mabl without the sales pitch.

Why join?

  • Real‑world problem solving: Lightning talks and panels on QA headaches we’ve actually fixed (or at least survived).
  • Insider access: Early demos of unreleased Mabl features and beta programs you can try before the rest of the world.
  • Crowd‑sourced topics: You choose what we cover next - flaky test triage, API testing, CI/CD tips, accessibility audits. Nothing is off‑limits.
  • Community & collaboration: Meet fellow testers from Boston startups, enterprise teams, and everywhere in between. Swap tips over pizza, stay for beverages, leave with new Slack buddies.

Meeting cadence & venue

  • When: Quarterly, mid‑week (usually Tue/Wed) · 5:30 PM – 7 PM
  • Where: Mabl HQ in Downtown Crossing, or the Hive event space downstairs. Final spot announced with each event.
  • Kick‑off session: Tuesday, June 17 @ 5:30 PM — mark your calendar!

Typical agenda (60‑75 min)

  1. Welcome & what’s new in Mabl (10 min)
  2. Featured lightning talk (10 min)
  3. Panel or round‑table discussion (20 min)
  4. Open‑floor Q&A / AMA (15 min)
  5. Networking, pizza, beverages (the fun part)

Who should attend?

  • QA engineers, SDETs, automation engineers
  • Software engineers and developers who moonlight in testing
  • Product or DevOps folks curious about quality at speed
  • Anyone who likes free pizza and a good bug story

Code of conduct
Be kind, be inclusive, share the mic, and respect the space.

Because we’ll have beer in the fridge, everyone attending must be 21 or older (IDs checked at the door).

Ready to level up your testing game? Join Boston MUG and help shape the conversations you want to have. See you in June!
