Genome Engineering Bootcamp: Bacillus subtilis
Details
Modern molecular biology techniques have made the sci-fi concept of editing the genome a reality. Here, we present a course outlining the fundamentals of editing a bacterial genome. Genomic edits can be used to reprogram the host organism and to build complex organisms with many interworking parts. In this course we take a tour through the theoretical process of introducing a single genomic edit and pair this with a lab component to generate our own genomically-edited organism. The results from the lab will be emailed to you.
