What we’re about
This group provides listening, emotional support and (only if requested) advice on how adults can improve their lives by working through issues created by having Attention Deficit (Hyperactive) Differences/ Disability/ Disorder or ADHD, either "hyperactive" or "inattentive" type (formerly labeled ADD). Partners, parents (of adults or older teens) with this condition, or other related "social pragmatic differences" such as Autism, OCD, PTSD, Bi-polar, Learning Disabilities, etc. -- and most people with ADD or ADHD have at least one other related challenge -- are also welcome. In the past, such non-ADHD loved ones have had their own breakout group, though not in recent years. We meet the first Thursday of each month from 7 to 9 PM Eastern Time -- mostly via Zoom (since the pandemic), but we went hybrid, returning to the Jackson-Mann School/ Community Center near Union Square in Brighton (Boston), MA since July, 2023. However, unless more attenders come to the in-person site by March, 2024, we will go back to all-Zoom.
