About us

The Boston AI Professionals Meetup is a community for technical AI professionals to connect and share how industries, organizations, researchers, and communities are utilizing AI and data science. Topics include (but are not limited to) large language models (LLMs), computer vision, supervised and unsupervised machine learning, neural networks, data warehousing, fairness and accountability in AI, and new methodologies. We welcome technical AI professionals such as data scientists, machine learning engineers, data engineers, and technically-minded leaders to join and learn with us.

We'll organize invited talks, networking hikes, hackathons, and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn, discuss, network, and meet new people. We look forward to seeing you at the next event.

Microsoft New England Research and Development Center, 1 Memorial Dr, Cambridge, MA 02142, USA, Cambridge, MA, US

Join fellow AI engineers, developers, product leaders, founders, and technology enthusiasts for an evening of practical discussions, real-world lessons, and networking with the Boston AI community.

Important: RSVP Deadline and Venue Access
RSVPs close on October 1 at 3:00 PM ET. Please enter your full first and last name exactly as it appears on your government-issued photo ID.
Late RSVPs may not be added to the attendee list and may not be admitted to the venue. Bring your valid government-issued photo ID and present it to building security upon arrival.

This month's meetup features:

Nishant Gandhi, Senior AI Engineer, Suffolk Construction
Topic: Building Document AI Solutions: Lessons Learned from Real-World Implementations
Moving from AI prototypes to production is rarely straightforward. In this session, Nishant will share practical lessons from designing and implementing Document AI solutions, including document ingestion, extraction, classification, retrieval, LLM integration, human-in-the-loop workflows, and the challenges of accuracy, scale, security, and cost optimization. Expect honest insights, architectural tradeoffs, and lessons learned from real-world projects.

Kyle Sayers, Core Maintainer, vLLM Project
Topic: Inside vLLM: Deploying LLMs at Scale
Kyle Sayers is a core maintainer of the vLLM project, specializing in model optimization and quantization techniques. In this session, Kyle will provide an inside look at one of the most widely adopted open-source inference frameworks for large language models. Learn about state-of-the-art approaches to model serving, performance optimization, quantization, and the engineering challenges involved in deploying and operating LLMs at scale.

Whether you're building AI products, experimenting with GenAI, modernizing enterprise workflows, or simply looking to connect with other professionals in the area, this meetup is an opportunity to learn from peers and grow your network.
