Robotics in 2030

Details
Let's get together, eat pizza, and hear from local companies and experts in the field. This week we will hear from Zachary Dydek, CTO at Vecna Robotics, Clara Vu, Distinguished Engineer at Symbotic, and Joshua Chaitin-Pollak, VP of Software Engineering at Automated Tire, Inc. speak about the state of Robotics in 2030.
Gain perspectives from robotics experts who have a balanced view of where the current LLM AI trend really can help and where it's just empty hype. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of why robotics remains hard, why current AI trends don't solve all problems, and what more promising robotics research (maybe non-AI) might look like.
Meeting Location: Draper, near Kendall Square. The entrance is on Broadway, between Hampshire Street and Galileo Way. (NOT THE MAIN DRAPER ENTRANCE!)
Agenda:
- 6:00 - 6:30: Networking & Pizza.
- 6:30 - 7:20: Panel Discussion: Zachary Dydek, Clara Vu, and Joshua Chaitin-Pollak.
- 7:20 - 7:30: 1 min pitches from the audience. Need help? Looking for a job? Let us know.
- 7:30 onwards: More networking.
Parking: Street parking or garage. There are many meters nearby. The nearest garage is the Technology Square Garage, but the garages at 1 Broadway, 358 Kendall St, and 1 Memorial Dr (under the Microsoft NERD building) have better rates after 5 pm. (Please do not park in Draper employee parking.)
