Description: If you are wondering how to get involved with hiking with the AMC, or if you are an experienced hiker just looking for a new place to hike, this series of hikes will take us to some different places to hike, mostly south of Boston. This week we will explore Massasoit State Park. Massasoit has lakes, wooded trails, as well as a campground where you can stay. We won't stay overnight, but will explore the trails, and see nice water views. Our 3 hour hike will be about 4 miles long, 500' of elevation, and we will get to see a sampling of what the forest has to offer. So, don't just read these listings, it's much more fun to come out and explore with other like minded hikers. Who knows, maybe your new best friend will be hiking with us that day. Looking forward to hiking with you! Bring Rain coat (Just in case!) water and lunch.
