Description: Join us for a late spring day hike to the summits of North and South Percy (North is on the list of ‘52 With A View). This is a scenic 10 mile point to point hike with 2,500 ft of gain over North and South Percy Peaks in New Hampshire's Nash Stream Forest. Experience panoramic views, open granite slabs, and the serene beauty of the North Country on this rewarding trail. We will travel together at a modest pace. AMC book time is about 6 hours. With stops to eat, adjust gear, and admire the views, please be prepared to be out for 8 or more hours.
This hike is most suited for people with some hiking experience over NH mountain terrain of similar distance and elevation gain, including some open slabs, and is considered vigorous by distance and elevation gain. When applying, please include relevant hikes including distance and elevation gain, or fitness activities completed in the past two months.
If there are issues with the planned hike, a hike of Roger's Ledge from the north might be substituted.
