Description: This will be a 3-hour hike covering about 5 miles and about 700-800 feet of elevation. The Quarries features a couple unique areas which are the quarries themself with all the giraffe which I like to call the museum of urban art. Also, we will see the remain of the first railroad. The terrain will be very rocky so please have the appropriate footwear. We will travel at a moderate pace but will be mindful of anyone traveling a little slow. As in all AMC hikes, we start together, we stay together and finish together. Minimal equipment is required for this hike, backpack, sturdy shoes, non-cotton clothing, rain gear, at least 1 to 2 liters of water, lunch, snacks, bug spray and optional trekking poles. The starting location will be sent out a couple days prior to the hike. Looking forward to seeing you there it will be a fun hike
