Description: Join us for WildCat traverse. At a moderate pace, we will hike 9.3 miles with approximately 3,500 feet of elevation gain. Depending on conditions, we expect the hike to take between 7 and 9 hours to complete, possibly finishing with headlamps.Wildcat Mountain is a ridge in the eastern Whites. It sports 5 summits over 4000' tall, named "A" through "E". Summit "A" is the tallest. Both A and Summit "D" are on the official AMC 4000-footer list. The other three summits lack the necessary 200 feet of topographic prominence to appear on the list. Leaders will update gear list before the hike, but we will need to treat the hike as winter hike so please check the gear list here: https://hb.amcboston.org/images/docs/Gear_lists/Winter_Dayhike_equip.pdf As the hike will start early in the morning, we will stay at the AMC Harvard Cabin on Saturday nights, located at 862 NH-16, Jackson, NH 03846. This is a heated, self-service cabin with a full kitchen. Guests need to bring their own sleeping system and food. The lodging cost is $40 per person per night and does not include food. Also, leaders are planning to hike Carter Mtn. on Sunday. If you’d like to join the hike please sign up separately using this link . If participants cancel before November 15, 2026, a refund will be issued. For cancellations between November 16 and November 20, no refunds will be issued. If the trip or event is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, a refund may or may not be issued. All refund requests should be directed to the trip leaders via email. Please note that refund processing may take up to two weeks after the trip or event concludes.
