I’m excited to announce the July Freezerfest details: Holy Cow; Veggie Burgers!

Veggie burgers have really gained popularity in the US in our lifetimes, but have been popular staples in diets throughout the world and have existed in various Eurasian cuisines for millennia. Wha wha what? As summer kicks into high gear and we fire up the grills, we can either pick up some highly-processed, bland veggie burgers from the grocery store’s freezer or we can create our own uniquely delicious and fresh (fresh frozen, that is) veggie burgers.
So let’s meet and fill our freezers with these little hockey pucks of health. I’ll plan on having ingredients for 2 or 3 recipes (including veggie bacon if I have my act together) based on the number of RSVPs and we can all cook together. Please bring appropriate Tupperware. I usually have plenty of cheap red wine handy, but please bring anything else you might want to sip on as we cook.
I'm setting the start time at 6:00, but I know that's a little aggressive for some people. Please don't leave work early and trample over people on the red line to get here. There is plenty of parking and my house is a 1 minute and 17 second walk from the Butler T stop on the Red Line's High speed trolley. Don't be frightened by the Dorchester address; it's a safe neighborhood.
