Laura and Hilary's Piemonte wines!
Details
Piemonte (Piedmont) wine from northwest Italy is famed for noble reds like Barolo & Barbaresco (Nebbiolo grape), known for their structure, tannins, and aging potential, alongside versatile reds like Barbera (black cherry, herbs) and lighter Dolcetto (plum, violet), plus crisp whites such as Gavi (Cortese) and sweet sparkling Moscato d'Asti. It's Italy's region with the most DOCG appellations, offering complex, terroir-driven wines from Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, and Cortese grapes, often benefiting from cool Alpine influences.
In addition to the wine, please bring a dish/snack to share and 4 wine glasses.
What to expect: we will be blind tasting all the wines people bring and each ranking them based on whatever criteria you prefer. At the end of the tasting, we'll sum the scores and see which wines come out on top!
What to bring: Please bring a bottle as described above in a paper wine bag, four wine glasses, and a dish/snack to share.
Agenda: The start time is 6:00PM, when everyone will introduce themselves, mingle and have snacks. Wine tasting will start at around 6:30PM.
Location: Address will be provided a day or two before the event. Make sure you can receive emails from BBWT members since the details will be provided through there. I will also post my cell in the email in case you need to contact me directly.
RSVP: Note that RSVPs for these events tend to fill up within minutes of that date/time, but a waitlist will be created and if anyone has to cancel, we'll fill those spots in the order of the waitlist. Please update your RSVP if you are unable to attend especially for those on the waitlist.
Looking forward to meeting everyone!
