The Bodhicaryavatara (Way of the Bodhisattva) by Shantideva book club discussion

We'll discuss through chapter 7 (diligence) of The Way of the Bodhisattva (Bodhicaryavatara) by Shantideva, translated by Padmakara translation group, so up to page 2 in this pdf https://wisdomcompassion.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/The-Way-of-the-Bodhisattva-Bodhicaryavatara.pdf at Joan Lorentz Park in front of the Cambridge Public LIbrary at 7pm. It’s a classic 8th-centery poem that summarizes the Mahayana path and touches on buddhist ethics

Look for the person in a yellow hat to find us at the park. In the case of rain, we'll meet at the Tasty Burger in Central Square (23 Prospect St) instead of the park to avoid the wet grass

Let’s find one quote we found particularly impactful and one question on something we are unclear about from the reading to have handy to share at the beginning of the meeting

Optional meditation beforehand at the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center nearby at 6pm sharp. We go to the "Evening Sit" which is usually downstairs, not the “beginners drop-in” which is usually upstairs
