Resilient Services with Clojure and Temporal

Temporal (https://temporal.io/) is a Workflow-as-Code platform for building and operating high-performance, resilient programs that will continue proper execution even under different interruptions, such as hardware failure, software crashes, or system upgrades. This is helpful for various situations, including tasks that run over long periods (e.g., hours, days, or even weeks) or tasks that couple multiple disparate operations together that must be reliable and eventually consistent (e.g., SAGA Pattern orchestration and compensation).

This talk will introduce Temporal and its concepts and then walk through building fault-tolerant applications using the Clojure SDK (https://github.com/manetu/temporal-clojure-sdk).

About the speaker: Greg Haskins is the author of the Temporal Clojure SDK and is the Co-founder/CTO of Manetu, where Temporal and Clojure are used harmoniously in production to build resilient microservices.
