I started learning Rust by making a project, and its UI has grown into its own library! The process of making that library has been emblematic of my learning of Rust as a whole. During this talk, I will show off all my unusual choices on the journey of learning both Rust and UI creation and how I corrected them. Finally, I will demo what I've ended up with so far and compare it to an open source library meant for the same purpose.
