Introduction to Disassembled C++ (hosted at CIC Cambridge — 101 Main St.)

Details
Let's get together, introduce ourselves, and learn about looking at C++ compiler assembly output!
We will be hosted by CIC (Cambridge Innovation Center), a shared-workspace focusing on the start-up community, at their 101 Main St. location in Kendall Square. We will be on the 14th floor, in 'Cloud City'. (Ring the bell to be let in.)
I will order pizza for this meetup. Please consider donating money, using the 'Chip in (https://secure.meetup.com/Boston-Cpp-Meetup/contribute/)' button on the webpage.
Schedule:
- 6:30 Charles Wilcox (Organizer): Group introduction, and plan next event(s) (15 min)
- 6:45 -- pizza break (15 min)
- 7:00 Martin Kysel (NuoDB): Introduction to Disassembled C++
- 8:30 Head out for food and drinks!
Topic:
Martin will guide you through low level, Linux specific details of how C++ translates to machine code. (The book knowledge that you always knew, but never bothered to check.)
Getting there:
CIC Cambridge is in Kendall Square, at 101 Main St. For MBTA riders, the Red-Line stops at Kendall Square, as does several buses. For drivers, there are several parking lots nearby; I had good luck with the Kendall Square Garage, (operated by Pilgrim Parking, 350 Kendall St.), which is 9$ after 4PM.
