What we’re about
We are a group dedicated to providing a place for people interested in everything from serious figurative drawing and painting, music, literature, to trying drawing for the first time in a supportive, comfortable space. - Silent, Serious Sunday285 Washington St, Somerville, MA$25.00
Sunday Afternoon long pose will feature a different model each week. We will start with a few quick warm-ups, and then move into a long pose for remaining 2.5 hours. It will be a psychological experiment - can you focus deeper with no music? The intention of having no music is to reduce distractions so there's a greater capacity to be present with the drawing process.... we will play music during breaks. You're encouraged to bring headphones if you prefer to be creative with sound! :) If you bring oil paints, please use an odorless solvent. All levels welcome, no prior drawing or painting experience necessary. Bring your own drawing supplies or purchase some at the studio. Easels, seating, drawing boards, and snacks provided.
