Our venue is the Broad institute of MIT and Harvard Merkin Building located at 415 Main Street, Cambridge in Kendall Square. The entrance to the building is on Main Street, between Galileo Galilei Way and Ames Street, to the right of the Whitehead Institute. The event is taking place in the Auditorium, which is located on the first floor, to the left of the security desk near the main lobby.
The nearest MBTA subway station is Kendall/MIT stop on the Red Line.
If you are driving, parking is available in the Yellow Garage or the Green Garage ($48/day, $38/three hours). See the Broad Institute Parking Map for exact locations.

Previously, he spent twenty years supporting genomics research at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.

Roya Kandalan, Gen AI Research Scientist
Roya is a research scientist working on advancing artificial intelligence technologies. She has a PhD in Electrical Engineering, is a US patent holder, and has multiple publications in primary journals on electrical engineering, mathematics, and artificial intelligence. Her primary research interests are generative AI, computer vision, and pattern recognition. Roya has developed machine learning solutions for various applications, including healthcare, assistive technologies, and security.
She is enthusiastic about advancing science and passionate about women’s rights. She is a Google Developer Expert and Cloud Champion in AI/ML, a Google Woman’s Techmaker Ambassador, and a Google Developer Group co-organizer (Cloud Boston). She uses these platforms to enhance women’s confidence in the workplace and advocate for women's and non-binary individuals' rights.

I've been in the Boston area for 7+ years working as a software engineer and volunteering with educational organizations, GDG being one of them.
