We will meet at Houghton Pond parking around 6:30 AM to start our hike, beginning with a climb up Houghton Hill. From there, we'll follow the North Skyline and Buck Hill route, trekking all the way to Rattlesnake Hill before reversing our path. We'll maintain a relaxed, moderate pace and take in the spectacular views of the Blue Hills along the way. The total distance will be approximately 12+ miles.

This strenuous hike features difficult terrain with many steep ascents and descents on rocky trails, providing a robust workout. It is not suitable for beginners. If you have experience with shorter hikes on the Skyline Trail, this might be the right challenge for you.

Our pace will be slightly slower than moderate, with occasional stops. It's important that you are in good physical condition to keep up with the group. We start together, hike as a group, and finish as a group, regrouping at the top and bottom of each hill. This hike is not suitable for those who prefer to hike alone, are significantly faster than the group, or anticipate frequent waiting.

I have allotted approximately 8 hours for this hike, though we may finish earlier.

If you haven't hiked with me before or if I am unfamiliar with your hiking fitness level, please add yourself to the waitlist and send me a message detailing your recent hiking experience, fitness routine, and any other information that demonstrates your capability for this hike.

Please note that dogs are not allowed, and guests are not permitted at this hike.

Please bring at least 2 liters of water and snacks. Hiking boots are required .
