Kayaking Adventure on the Nashua River in Harvard

This event is cross posted with my friend Shawn over at the Mixed Terrain Bicycle Adventures Meetup Group.

I have never paddled this stretch of river, but it looks really cool from the maps. Here is what Shawn has to say about it. See you there.

Come out and see one of the most beautiful sections of the Nashua River! We will be meeting at the Oxbow NWR access point at the end of Still River Depo Rd. in Harvard, MA at 10 AM. There is a parking lot and boat launch at the meeting location. A lighter water craft is recommended because we may need to portage around a few fallen trees. We plan to head south on the river into Bolton Flats. The round trip distance may be around 8 miles or so. Be sure to pack a lunch, snacks, life preserver, sun hat, and sun screen. Some folks may bring fishing gear, as the river is full of several species of fish. We hope to see you there!
