Speakers & topics
1. Root Cause Analysis in K8s, with Christian Weber
Christian is a practitioner in the field every day, helping find root causes and turning complexity in K8s into simplicity. Christian will overview some of the tools and platforms that enable this superpower of his.
2. Going Platform-less in the Era of Platforms with Lakmal Warusawithana
Building and operating Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) often forces teams to rebuild the basics by gluing together pipelines, securing workloads, and layering tools over Kubernetes just to deliver a consistent developer experience.
In this session, I’ll share our experience of designing and running Choreo, WSO2’s enterprise-grade IDP, and the key lessons we’ve learned along the way. We’ll examine the strengths of Choreo’s architecture, while also highlighting the onboarding challenges and show how these lessons directly shaped OpenChoreo.
OpenChoreo is our new open-source, Kubernetes-native framework built to address these very pain points. Together, we’ll explore:
- OpenChoreo’s Kubernetes-native architecture with GitOps, Cilium, Envoy Gateway, and Backstage
- How the “Cell” model simplifies deployment, observability, and security
- Ways teams can adopt OpenChoreo incrementally alongside existing stacks
- How to join the OpenChoreo community and contribute to shaping its future
3. K8s Data Protection with Chris Bonner
The role of backup in the Kubernetes (k8s) world is to provide data protection and application mobility for containerized workloads through an enterprise platform. A Kubernetes-native solution addresses the challenges of backing up and restoring stateful applications, ensuring disaster recovery, and protecting against ransomware across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
About our sponsors
Komodor simplifies the world’s largest and most complex environments, so you can effectively manage Kubernetes at scale and empower developers to operate, troubleshoot, and optimize their workloads independently.
Hybrid/Remote option
