Blossoms by the Charles River: Contemplative, Creative Flower Photography

Details
Get ready for Spring!
I am scheduling this first Charles River Blossom shoot anticipating the bloom will be at about the same time as last year when I took the photo above. This is a good class if you have been wanting to go off auto and learn more about different camera settings.
It is not as easy as you might think to create blossom images. But I will guide you to choose the right camera settings and compositions. Much of the success comes from isolating your subject and paying attention to the background. There will be about 100 trees in full bloom so you will have plenty of opportunity to get creative.
Some specific skills we will work on:
Use your aperture priority settings and create blur background.
How to focus on moving blossoms bouncing in the breeze
How to capture reflections in the lagoons.
How to use intentional camera motion for creative effects.
How to evoke emotion and capture the personality of the blossoms.
How to create urban landscapes including blossoms and buildings
All levels welcome. There are public restrooms at our starting point by the river.
We are going in the morning to capture the soft light and hopefully still water of the lagoons. (but you never know)
I saw a Blue Heron! That is quite rare to see and to capture. Maybe we will be lucky again.
I hope you can join us and hone your blossom skills. Then you can apply these skills to any flower photography you may do this Spring.
