Talk #2: Snapshot testing the hard way with Gleb Bahmutov (@bahmutov (http://twitter.com/bahmutov))
Testing is hard and does not pay. Snapshot testing is a way to increase the efficiency of your unit tests while removing a lot of boilerplate code. Recently Jest and Ava testing framework added this feature. I have written a framework-agnostic snapshot testing library and would like to share techniques and design decisions that went into this library.
Gleb Bahmutov is JavaScript ninja, image processing expert and software quality fanatic. After receiving a PhD in computer science from Purdue University, Gleb worked on laser scanners, 3D reconstruction, and panorama-based virtual tours at EveryScape. Later Gleb switched to writing browser data visualization software at MathWorks. After a year, Gleb went back to the startup environment and developed software quality analysis tools at uTest (now Applause). Today Gleb is developing real-time financial analysis tools at Kensho. He blogs about software development topics at http://glebbahmutov.com/blog/ and links his projects at http://glebbahmutov.com/ .

Talk #3: Coaching Skills for Scrum Masters & The Self-Organizing Team with Ben Day (@benday (http://twitter.com/benday))
Scrum works best with — arguably, requires — a self-organizing team. If you want a high-performing and self-organizing team, it helps if your Scrum Master thinks like a coach instead of a manager. In this talk, Ben will discuss why this is true and will give you specific Scrum Mastering tips on how to think and act like a coach.
Benjamin Day is a consultant and trainer specializing in software best practices using Scrum with Microsoft’s DevOps tools. Ben’s main areas of emphasis include Team Foundation Server, Scrum, software testing, and software architecture. He is a Microsoft Visual Studio ALM MVP, a certified Scrum trainer via Scrum.org, and a speaker at conferences such as TechEd and VSLive. When not developing software, Ben’s been known to go running and sea kayaking in order to balance out his love of cheese, cured meats, and champagne. His online courses are available at http://www.pluralsight.com. He can be contacted via http://www.benday.com.

Talk #4: Sazerac: Data-driven Unit Testing with Mike Calvanese (@mikecalvanese (http://twitter.com/mikecalvanese))
An introduction to data-driven testing, and how it can help make your unit tests easier to build and maintain. Sazerac (https://github.com/mikec/sazerac) is a lightweight library that helps you write tests in data-driven style.
Mike is a JavaScript developer at Rocket Insights (http://www.rocketinsights.com). As a former front-end development consultant at Microsoft he spent many years working with ASP.NET, but has now been fully converted to the world of Node, React, and open source. In his spare time Mike surfs around New England, and occasionally travels in search of warmer water.
