Ride the Shining Sea Bikeway – 21.4 Miles

This epically beautiful ride follows what used to be a line devoted to taking passengers from NY and Boston for almost 100 years, and in 1974 the line was acquired by the town of Woods Hole and created into what we now get to enjoy today. We’ll ride past various maritime views, including the sea, marshes, and rivers, plus wooded areas. Once we reach half-way into the ride, we’ll be able to stop for lunch in Woods Hole, and those who sign up via Ridj-it will receive more information about other cool spots to visit during this trip that will make this adventure one of your favorite this year.

Bike rentals are available for this ride. We will do our best to accommodate your own bike, but if the driver does not have room, please be ready to rent the bike. $28/day.

This ride is rated as moderate due to the number of miles over the day. You must know how to ride a bike in order to attend. This ride will be at a leisure/moderate pace.

Gear

Please wear tennis shoes (no sandals), athletic shorts or pants, a light jacket in case of wind, bug spray, sunglasses, and a hat. Please bring a liter of water and snacks.
