Plato's Ion Discussion

The inaugural meeting of the Boston Plato Symposium. We will be meeting to discuss Plato's Ion, which recounts Socrates's encounter with the titular rhapsode Ion. This short dialogue explores the extent to which art can be a source of truth. While it's highly recommended you read the dialogue beforehand we will begin our discussion with a dramatic reading of the work. We will be reading the translation by Paul Woodruff.

The meeting will take place Thursday July 24 6:30 PM at Caffe Nero Millennium Place 560 Washington St, Boston, MA 02111. Everyone is welcome!
