Philosophy Discussion: Plato's Symposium
Details
Plato's Symposium, also known as Banquet, depicts a drinking party between some of the great men of Athens. As part of the festivities each man is obligated to give a speech on the meaning of love. What follows is a philosophical discourse on the nature of all forms of love and desire. This dialogue is enjoyable, accessible, and of a manageable length--this makes it very approachable for people without a background in philosophy.
We will be meeting on Wednesday, December 3 at 6:30 PM in the seating area of Cafe Nero 560 Washington Street Boston, MA.
