What we’re about
It's like a book club but for podcasts! We meet monthly at local restaurants to discuss this month's playlist, which is 5-7 episodes curated around a theme. See our events for upcoming meetings!
What to expect:
1.- Before the meeting, find time to listen to the playlist.
2.- At the meeting, there will be a sign that makes it easy to find us. Come by yourself or with friends, and be ready to have a discussion! First-timers and add-ons are encouraged to attend, as are folks we haven't seen in a while.
3.- We always make time to share our current faves, so be prepared to go home with a list of must-listens.
4.- The best way to stay informed is through our mailing list. Sign up here: https://podcastbrunchclub.com/boston/
Happy Listening
If you can't get to the playlist, you are absolutely still invited and encouraged to attend our events. There is always something to talk about!

The eight part limited series can be found here.
About the podcast
Over the Road tells stories of America’s long haul truckers and is hosted by one among them — “Long Haul Paul” Marhoefer — as he rolls through the hills of Kentucky to the meat patch of Nebraska, down the freeways of Texas and beyond.
A world with a lifestyle and mythology all its own, trucking is millions of drivers strong, increasingly diverse, and indispensable to the American economy. But that world is shifting as unprecedented technologies and regulations impact the daily reality of life on the road. Over eight episodes, we’ll listen closely as these realities play out. We’ll pull up to truck-stop counter debates and consider the differences between a ‘bedbugger’ and a ‘dock-bumper.’ We’ll recall tales of treacherous mountain roads and thousand-mile runs. We’ll find ourselves at an impromptu parking lot concert, seek out the best nanner nanner pudding off I-75, and spend Thanksgiving laid over at a produce market in Pompano Beach, thinking of loved ones back home.
With a blend of personal storytelling, humor and perception that can only come from those who’ve lived the stories, Over the Road is brought to listeners by Overdrive, the magazine read by owner-operator truckers across the country, and Radiotopia, home to extraordinary podcasts heard by millions.
- Pain - Boston Podcast Brunch ClubState Park, Cambridge, MA
What is pain, really? Is it just a signal from the body—or something far more complex? In this playlist, we explore pain not just as a physical experience, but as a cultural, psychological, and deeply human phenomenon. From the power of the mind to unlearn chronic pain, to the biases—gendered, racial, and institutional—that shape how pain is perceived and treated, these episodes invite us to reconsider everything we think we know about discomfort and healing.
This playlist was curated by Adela, founder of PBC and leader of the Chicago chapter, with input from Jessica, leader of the East Bay Chapter.
