## Details
Hello! Hola! Bonjour! 你好! こんにちは!
We want to open up Bioconductor to the whole world and we’d love your help to achieve our goal!
The Multilingual Bioconductor Working Group will be hosting a virtual translation sprint.
We expect the attendees to translate Bioconductor related English material into non-English.
This will be an exciting fun event to connect with the Bioconductor users in many languages and network with our globally diverse community.
You don’t need to be an expert or a developer in Bioconductor, we welcome complete beginners and we’ll show you around Bioconductor
You just have a language you wish to share.
You will help translate documents into your own language, so more people that speak your language can participate in Bioconductor!
The agenda is as follows.
- The purpose of this meeting (5min)
- How to translate Bioconductor related English material (10min)
- Start of the translation sprint (90min)
- Sharing translation results (10min)
The following three are the document of this translation sprint.
- Bioconductor Packages: Development, Maintenance, and Peer Review
- Modern Statistics for Modern Biology
- R for Mass Spectrometry
Check below to find the group.
- #documentation-translation channel in our Community Slack

The language I'm especially looking for is the language of the region with English language barriers. (For example, Japan.)
If you have any questions, feel free to ask Kozo Nishida.
Kozo translates into Japanese.
If you are a Japanese speaker, Kozo can team up with you.
You can contact Kozo via our Community Slack or twitter.com/kozo2
We have our Code of Conduct.
Be sure to check it out if you attend this event.
By the way, the code of conduct has been translated into multiple languages!
If your language isn't there yet, add your language too!
