Thanksgiving 2012 Shiba Inu Meet Up and Dog Food Drive

Hey Everyone!

Our November Meetup is scheduled for Sunday November 18th at 11:00 AM at the Zero New Washington Dog Park in Somerville. There is plenty of parking directly in front of this park. We had a past Meet Up at this park and it seemed to be a big hit.

I asked around for a park closer to the South Shore (to give the Southern folks less of a drive), but the only response I got was about the dog park in Sharon that is close to Gillette Stadium, and the 18th is a Home Game Day. So hopefully we can plan a meet up closer to that area in the future.

As it is the month of Giving, and the Holiday season, we are having a food drive at our Meet Up on the 18th. If you can, please bring dog food or dog treats, to donate. We will be delivering the food just in time for Thanksgiving to a local rescue shelter! If you cannot bring food, and you can, please make a donation online to The Shiba Rescue of Ocean County. This Shiba Rescue went through a big loss during Super Storm Sandy and any donations would be wonderful. They are rebuilding and helping rescue and foster Shibas from all over. It is a great cause.
