Getting Started: Installing Spark/Shark on EC2 & Executing Jobs and Queries

The inaugural meeting of the Boston Spark Users will cover a range of topics, including:

• Installing Spark on an existing EC2 cluster

• Installing Shark on an existing Spark install

• Writing programs for Spark in Scala and Python

• Creating tables and executing queries using Shark

The meeting will be divided up into 2-4 short (15-30 minute) talks
