Black & White Photography Workshop Series
Details
Making a strong Black and White photo takes more than just clicking a button in Lightroom or changing a camera setting. It’s a way of seeing. A mindset that starts before you press the shutter and continues through editing and presentation.
In this online workshop, we’ll explore what it means to think in Black and White and how that can change the way you shoot. Over three live sessions, I’ll walk you through the essentials of making great monochrome images and help you build the skills and confidence to do it on your own.
I started out as a newspaper photographer and shot almost 7000 rolls of Black and White film before I ever used color. That background shaped how I see. I still look at a scene in Black and White first and then add color in my mind. It’s helped me develop a strong sense of graphic composition, and I’ll share how you can start seeing the world that way too.
