World Vegetarian Day - Every Year, Everywhere, All Day Long !!

Every year, World Vegetarian Day is celebrated by vegetarians (and vegans).

Some communities do educational outreach for a month or two beforehand.

Some hold great celebrations.

The Boston Vegetarian Food Festival was originally held indoors at MIT (May 5, 1996) and followed by a World Vegetarian Day" celebration outdoors on the Boston Common (the fountain, where the walking paths converge), with police estimates at about 4,000 for the 6 hour period from 10 am to 4 pm.

The (now combined) Boston Vegetarian Food Festival was then moved indoors and held in October as close (then) as possible to October 1.
