3XR and The Immersive Tech Lab at Berklee College of Music

Berklee College of Music’s Immersive Technology Lab is committed to proactively exploring how virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and other emerging technologies can transform music, dance, theater, art, entertainment, and society. It engages students through new programs, curriculum, and initiatives that prepare them to become the artists and professionals at the forefront of the performing and media arts industries.

The ITL supports the BerkleeXR student club, and faculty and students in courses including Dance+Technology Lab, Audio for VR and Immersive Environments, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Digital Narrative Theory & Practice, Composing Music for VR/AR/XR, Art & Virtual Reality, Scandals and Vandals, Oceanography, and Making Virtual Reality Experiences, a collaboration among Berklee, MIT, and Harvard University.

3XR is building a community platform to digitize the world! Come see how we are making it easy to create high quality 3D assets for AR/VR/Web and learn about opportunities to join us at the ground level. 3XR was founded by Mike Festa in January 2019 and is located in Wakefield, Massachusetts.
