This talk will chronicle a bit of our journey from a university lab to the SBIR (Small Business Innovative Research) and fundraising that allowed “shear feedback” to be refined, while making devices that are simpler and more robust. It will also discuss our latest cylindrical form-factor haptic controller, SaberGrip™, and the experiences and hardware offshoots that have sprung out of SaberGrip’s creation.
